The first actual course that takes place in reality, in Öfverby klosterskola: The history of ecophilosophy
The course will be held primarily online, through mailcorrespondance, i.e. it is primarily a correspondance course. My emailadress is msafig1(at)gmail.com. You register to the course there. This is the poor beginning of Öfverby klosterskola. If there is enough interest for the course in Stockholm, where I live, we will have small discussion groups too, where we debate around a table. This will be a part of my teaching strategy: debating around a table with my students. We gather around a table in a secret location at a secret time in the center of Stockholm, because I'm very persecuted. If there is no interest whatsoever, the course will be held only on my blog through blogposts. Even if there is born a real school, the course will also be held on my blog in blogposts, because I am a son of the Light. I do not take any money for the course.
In the course we will explore the history of ecophilosophy, with a broader overview of European ecophilosophy since the Antiquity, and with a specialization in the history of Nordic ecophilosophy, from the romantics like Stagnelius, Almqvist and Wergeland, through Fröding, Ekelund and Boye to Arne Naess, Pentti Linkola, Birger Schlaug, Maria Suutala and lastly our great hero Greta Thunberg.
There is very little published material about the history of ecophilosophy, not least about Nordic history of ecophilosophy, so I have to write the course literature myself. I will do it in a very unusual way, in my typical blogging way - personal and spiritual views on the history of ecophilosophy. I have already written the history of ecotheology, in a book from 2019 that is freely accessible here, and the course material for the course in question will be gathered in the end to a new book about the history of ecophilosophy, complementing my history of ecotheology. The course literature material will be first published on my blog in a series of blogposts, like I usually do with my books.
